A DIYer noted:
I went to use my router yesterday and noticed a build-up of rust on some of the bits. I assume this has been caused by moisture build-up. They were stored in the garage which does not have A/C or a dehumidifier. It's not too serious and I have now put them indoors. Can anyone suggest a product or procedure that can remove the deposits of rust??
Suggestion:
Very fine wet-and-dry will remove this rust. Next, wipe over the metal parts of the tools with a rag sprayed with WD40. You may need a case for the more expensive bits. |
