Using wire size #10-3 copper with ground, this 120/240 Volt replacement breaker is used in a General Electric load center. Typical applications, up to 13,200 watts, include hot water heaters, clothes dryers, air conditioners (240Volt, up to 36,000 BTU) and electric motors (240 Volt, 1-1/2 hp to 3 hp).
